One of the most requested guides for League Of Legends is jungle kiting and how to do it as a melee jungler. A while back I created a YouTube video on how to kite jungle camps but it was with Graves a semi ranged champion. The video reached over 20k views to my surprise and even being featured in one of Mobalytics articles.

Just a few days ago I recorded a new video on how to kite jungle camps as a melee champion such as Lee Sin. I wanted to go a little deeper into guiding you on what I was doing.

  1. I started at the red buff with the blue jungle enchantment item in my inventory as well as a refillable potion. The blue jungle enchantment is good because of Lee Sin being a melee champ but also it works best if your going to be heavily ganking lanes for the slow. The red jungle enchantment works best if your going to be heavily dueling and counter jungling from my opinion.

2. I start by attacking the red buff with an auto attack but because I am Lee Sin I want to make sure to abuse my OP passive. Every time Lee Sin use's an ability he gains a short burst of attack speed on his next two auto attacks. What makes Lee Sin such a great early jungler is not only is his passive good for auto attack healing from the jungle item but also his W grants him a short shield of health with life steal/spell vamp. As I attack the red buff monster I make sure after ever auto to take a step back to keep distance between me and the jungle monster. Your not going to have the same advantage as you would being a ranged champion so keep your health in mind.

3. After you use an auto attack on the jungle camp you heal for the damage plus you heal off of magic damaged ability's used on the jungle monster. Refer to the picture down below were you will see a purple/pink burning on the jungle monster that indicates that after you used an ability you will start to gain little health over time because of magic damage done. While you kite the jungle monster around the burning keeps going for a short time so it gives your champion a chance to breathe while you heal for the damage done. Hopefully this is all making sense.

4. After I finished fighting the red buff I made my way to the Krug camp down below. Now everything we just learned up above we can put into practice doing the Krug camp but with a little added bonus. When fighting the Krug camp you want try your best to kite the little Krug around the big Krug so that you can use the healing burning method as an example down below.

5. Another trick you can abuse in the jungle is if your champion has a aoe attack such as Lee Sins E ability. Let me explain with a picture down below of the Raptor Camp.

Once you use Lee Sin's E your doing aoe magic damage on every raptor hit which means you will heal for each one as well. You can abuse this trick by hitting the raptor camp with an aoe ability while on your way to another camp by using the heal burning walking away.

6. Finally we come to the last camp which is the murk wolf camp. The final thing I wanted to cover is abusing the space you have within the jungle camp. If you watch a lot of pro league tournaments you will notice that when they are fighting certain camps the players will drag the camp over to there next camp they are going to do. The reason for this is it saves a lot of time but also they are utilizing the space they are given. Here is an example picture down below.

You will notice how much space I have put in between Lee Sin and the wolf camp in the blue highlighted area. Always be careful because if you drag the camp to far out the camp will reset itself.

I really hope everyone who reads this post will get a better understanding of melee kiting in the jungle.
